Scotts Miracle Gro will pay, according to the Columbus Dispatch, 4.5 million in fines for selling bird seed in 2008 with seed coated in materials toxic to birds. Scotts also stands accused of falsifying EPA registration numbers on other lawn and garden products. Scotts has recently come under fire along with the National Wildlife Federation. NWF accepting millions in donations from Scotts.Garden advice you can dig!

shame on Scotts/Miracle Gro and National Wildlife Federation as well for selling out...
ReplyDeleteThe real shame is on the NWF in my opinion. They probably needed the cash! This goes to show what hypocrisy is out their even in gardening and environmental forefronts and how all fakes will be discovered in any situation.
DeleteOn the left side of your blog I am reading 3 ads from Scotts: Miracle Gro plantfood, Orchid potting mix and Miracle Grow Sphagnum Peat Moss.
ReplyDeleteI am speechless!
The ads are third party generated based on content in my posts. There could have easily been an ad for NWF as well or someone protesting chemical ferts. That being said I am no big fan of Scotts. A few, very few, of their products have some use in the market place. The post was relaying news information from the media world with no opinion from me.
DeleteThe real irony is the fact a Scotts/MG ad appears next to an incriminating post!
