IGC Retailer released this emial late Saturday well after the rest of us already reported:
Baltimore - A sad day
for the IGC industry dawned Saturday, days before Christmas 2012 as Commerce
Corporations announces closing it's doors. The official announcement made by CEO
Richard Lessans to employees follows:
"After weeks of
trying to negotiate a sale of Commerce and trying to maintain the business that
we have built, it is with a great deal of pain that we have been forced to close
the business next week. This has been a very difficult period, filled with
uncertainty, and many rumors. I feel confident that most of you will find
immediate employment in the industry, as your close relationships with your
customers is well known and respected. We will not be releasing any early orders
or placing drop ship orders with our vendors."
One of the greatest
supporters of the IGC industry leaves the building. We salute Richard Lessans
and his team for their years of dedication.
Garden advice you can dig!
